You Can Watch Live NFL Games on Amazon This Fall

Football season is still a couple months away, but that doesn’t stop you from figuring out if you need to keep your cable subscription just to watch Thursday Night Football. If you have Amazon Prime, you can ditch cable and stream the games live for the upcoming season.

Amazon has struck a deal with the NFL to stream Thursday Night Football games to all Prime subscribers later this year. This isn’t the first time that the NFL has partnered with another company to livestream their games, but the partnership with Amazon adds to the value of paying for Amazon Prime. You’ll be able to stream the games similar to how you access other videos on the Prime platform. Cable can be expensive, so if you’re keeping your subscription just for access to sports games like these, exploring online options for streaming can save you quite a bit.

Of course, streaming online has it’s own problems. It can be slow or glitchy (so you miss out on key plays). You’re also dependent on your own internet working well when you’re trying to stream so that you catch all the action. So, if you’re already a Prime member, maybe stream the first game of the season and then cancel your cable subscription once you know things are running smoothly.
